Meet Me Monday: Spa Manager, Amanda Unrein

She's the Diamond to our Rio the Hot our Mess. She's also the ringleader of all things carpool karaoke, the last-woman standing when all voices of reason crumble, dog mom to "the goodest of boys," human mom to the sassiest of girls, dead-pan comic relief, and Rejuvenations Spa Business Manager, Amanda Unrein.

Q: Why did you decide you wanted to come here, that this is what you wanted to do?

A: I was working as the office manager at the Hadley Center, and I wasn't really looking for a new job, but Annie told me I should apply for this one. So I did, and then I got an interview and a second interview, and then I decided I didn't want to work here. I didn't think I would like to work here, and I didn't think it would be a good fit for me, but Sase encouraged me to try it out, and I loved it.

Q: Your job, your role - even your title has changed since you started here. How has your job evolved?

A: Basically, when I started working here, there really was no semblance of bookkeeping. There was, but it was very minimal.

Q: But you have a B.A.?

A: Yes Business management and business administration from FHSU.

But I came here and saw how much better it could be. So, basically, I started out doing reception most of the time, and then I developed the bookkeeping side of it, and that's what I do for the most part now.

I feel like my job has not only evolved helping on the business side, but I feel like it really helps the whole staff. My job has evolved to help the whole staff do whatever it takes.

Q: What are some of your favorite things about working here?

A: The people That is my favorite thing. Getting to be a part of making people happy and feel better about themselves.

Q: Since your position has evolved so much already, what do you hope for in future?

A: Growth. Growth is always good.

Q: What is it that you think is important for people to know about Rejuvenations and what it is we do?

A: I think it's important for people to know that everyone that works here really does care about helping people and making people feel better. It's not just a job for most of us, it's actually something we want to do. I have a job title, but my job is everything, and I feel like everybody that works here feels like that. Everybody takes the time to make sure everyone is where they need to be at any given time, and I think that is important.
